Working principle of dry ice cleaner machine
A dry ice cleaner machine is an eco-friendly industrial cleaning machine that utilizes dry ice pellets as the cleaning medium, accelerating and spraying them via high-pressure compressed air to clean surfaces. Dry ice pellets are solid carbon dioxid produced by a dry ice pelletizer machine, characterized by high density and an extremely low temperature of -78℃, which provides powerful cooling and freezing effects. Under normal temperature and pressure, dry ice sublimates directly from a solid to a gas without passing through the liquid phase, leaving behind no liquid residue or moisture.
The core principle of a dry ice cleaning machine relies on a triple-action physical mechanism, involving physical impact, cryogenic embrittlement, and instantaneous sublimation, to achieve highly efficient cleaning:
1. High-speed kinetic impact: High-pressure air accelerates dry ice pellets to supersonic speeds, propelling them against the surface to be cleaned; the immense kinetic energy generated by this high-speed impact directly shatters and loosens surface contaminants.
2. Cryogenic embrittlement and detachment: Dry ice has an extremely low temperature (-78.5℃); upon contact with the surface, the resulting massive temperature difference causes the contaminants to freeze rapidly, become brittle, and crack, thereby reducing adhesion to the substrate and facilitating quick delamination.
3. Instantaneous sublimation and micro-explosion: Upon impact, the dry ice pellets sublimate directly from a solid to a gas within microseconds, causing an instantaneous volume expansion of nearly 800 times; this creates a "micro-explosion" effect that completely blasts away the loosened contaminants, resulting in a residue-free clean.
Compared to traditional cleaning equipment (such as chemical cleaners, high-pressure water washers, and sandblasters), dry ice blasting machines (like the Sichuan Aosituo industrial dry ice blaster machine) offer advantages such as high efficiency, zero pollution, and energy conservation, making dry ice cleaners an ideal choice for modern, eco-friendly cleaning. Dry ice cleaning machines are widely used for cleaning and decontamination tasks across various industrial sectors, including mold manufacturing, automotive production, electronics and semiconductors, aerospace, food and pharmaceuticals, and the electric power and chemical industries.
